Greetings.
3,615 miles / 5,820kms.
Just passed it. The current Guinness World Record for the Longest Journey by Skateboard. Stoked.
Still a long way to go until I head home to New Zealand though. From here in Lordsburg, New Mexico, USA, I continue skateboarding west through Phoenix, Arizona, all the way to Los Angeles. Then off to China to complete the 3,000 mile bit I couldn’t do at the beginning of the journey.
It is hot here. I’m only here in the library because of pressing internet stuff. Honest. Nothing to do with slacking off…

Congratulations on both the record and making it across Texas on the board. Being from Austin, I know just how nasty some of that chipseal is – no fun at all. In any case, enjoy the desert scenery and take care of yourself in this more rugged part of the states.

Congratulations Rob. Nice that those miles clocked up not long after you felt so down and depressed about all the horrible roads in Texas. The euphoria of reaching your goal should keep you going for miles!! I hope the roads are all great in the next States you go through.

Congratulations. We love your reports and pictures from the southern states of the USA. One day I will be there on my bicycle and will follow the Adventure Cycling Association's route, which most likely will follow a lot of your route. Keep up the good work and that care !

It was good news to be woken up by at 5.45am last Thursday! I don't usually have my cellphone in my bedroom at night but I did that time. Not sure what time it was for you when you sent the text – probably around 1pm Wednesday. Looking forward to seeing some photos of New Mexico.
